St. Malachi Volunteer Opportunity

Hello members,


 Please join ASMC-CL on April 2, May 7 and June 11 from 5:30-7:00 to help those in need at St. Malachi, just a short distance from DFAS located at2459 Washington Avenuein Cleveland (just north of West 25th St. and Detroit Avenue).  We will assist with set-up, serving dinner and clean-up. For those who would like to go above and beyond, volunteers may arrive at 4:30 p.m. to assist with tables and chairs. If you would like to volunteer, please email Lynn Zielaskiewicz at with the specific date(s) you are interested in. Five volunteer slots are available for each of the three session dates.


Note: April 2 will be St. Malachi’s annual Easter dinner. Volunteers who attend this session are encouraged to assist beginning as early as 3:00 p.m. to help with food preparation.


The mission of this ministry is to provide for the needs of the poor including nutrition and other hungers, such as the need for human care and concern. This ministry provides a hot meal on every Monday of the year. For more information, please visit:

Front Steps Run/Walk for Home 5k May Volunteer Opportunity

The ASMC Cleveland Chapter is Supporting the Front Steps Run/Walk for Home 5k at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.


The American Society of Military Comptrollers (ASMC) Cleveland Chapter is supporting the Front Steps Run/Walk for Home 5k, on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. The registration fee ($27 pre-registration; $30 on event day, with family pricing available) includes a t-shirt, admission to the Zoo and Rainforest, and breakfast. All event proceeds will benefit Front Steps (
