ASMC Holiday Community Service Event - Cleveland Christian Home Gift Drive

The American Society of Military Comptrollers (ASMC) Cleveland Chapter is proud to sponsor a holiday gift drive for the local nonprofit organization, Cleveland Christian Home (CCH). The Cleveland Christian Home exists to be a haven of hope and healing for children, youth and families struggling with mental illness, abuse and neglect.  From the first orphaned children left on the doorstep of their founder in 1900, to the stately orphanage on Lorain Avenue that generations of children called home, to the modern network of services reaching children and families in need across Northeast Ohio, Cleveland Christian Home has remained committed to serving vulnerable children in the community for over 100 years and into the future. For more information, please visit:  http://cc-home.org.

Please see the attached flyer for a list of gift suggestions. We ask that gifts remain unwrapped and are in new condition. Please contact Lynn Zielaskiewicz for more information and to coordinate dropping off your donations with her.  The last day to donate items is Wednesday, 12/18/19. Participation in this Gift Drive is voluntary, and this drive is an ASMC event that is not officially endorsed or sanctioned by DFAS.  Thank you for your generosity this holiday season.

St. Herman's Volunteer Opportunity

Please join ASMC on Thursday, December 5th to help those in need at St. Herman's House of Hospitality in Ohio City.  We will meet at 5:00 PM at St. Herman's located at 4410 Franklin Blvd in Cleveland.  We will plate and serve meals, as well as clean dishes and tables afterwards, ending by 6:30 PM.  St. Herman's is a small place that can accommodate only eight volunteers, so if interested, please email Jessica Huff at jessica.l.huff20.civ@mail.mil so you can be added to the list.

Please consider joining in the tradition of serving those in need in Ohio.
